Subject and Object Pronouns, Possessive adjectives and Possessive pronouns
Basic rules to remember:
Subject Pronouns are used to replace nouns. They are usually found before the main verb in a sentence.
I am Patricia.
You are my friend.
She lives in China.
Object pronouns are also used to replace nouns. They are the object of a preposition or a verb. You find them after a preposition or a verb.
Charles loves me.
Ana likes him.
Maria never listens to us.
Possessive adjectives are always followed by a noun.
This is my friend.
That's her family.
This is our home.
Possessive pronouns replace a possessive adjective and a noun. They are not followed by a noun.
Whose car is this? It's hers.
That's not her phone. It's mine.
That book is not yours; it's his.
