Resources for Students: Dictionaries and Other Reference Materials
Dictionaries
Online translators such as google translator can be useful to find information in different languages. However, they are not the best option to LEARN new vocabulary; especially, to learn how to use a word correctly in a sentence. Try to use dictionaries for learners or for students. They give you examples, synonyms, usage notes, different definitions and explanations on how to use it correctly and naturally. Use bilingual dictionaries as the last resource. Also look for dictionaries that show you the phonemic script or audio to learn the pronunciation of new words.
